I still haven’t caught up with pictures from the last 2-3 months, so I’ll let Max’s chalkboard announce the wonderful reason why. I’ve been so sick and tired, I can barely stay awake past 8:30 PM or during nap times. We are excited to welcome a new baby in April, and I’m especially excited to be through this first trimester in a week or so. I had an appointment at about 10 weeks and we saw a strong heartbeat and very squirmy Little P.
Max knows there’s a baby in my tummy whom he can’t see and that he will be a big brother, but it’s still very vague to him. He is adamant that he does not want a sister or a brother, just a baby. Also, the baby should be named “Max” or “Simone Biles.” He has a new skill or phrase for the baby every few days: “When the baby comes, I will…
teach it to play legos.”
teach it to walk.”
teach it to talk.”
teach it to read.”
say it is cute!”
rock it like this.”
put lotion on it.”
Also, he has declared that he, too, has a baby in his tummy. “You just can’t see it yet, mommy.”
Growing our family from 3 to 4 seems confusing to him. Right now, every time he sees a grouping of 3, he declares one is the Daddy, one is the Mommy, and one is the Max. And this could be ANYTHING. Sticks, penguins, jars… Any group of 3. When we add a fourth and declare it the Baby, he just sort of frowns and moves on.
Look out for a blog and url name change to the blog soon to reflect our growing family.
