Last week was Golden Week in Japan, which ended with the Children’s Day celebration, Kodomo no Hi.  Everyone hangs carp streamers, or koinobori, in honor of children.  It is supposed to be a prayer for a good future and hope that they will grow up healthy and strong.  We didn’t join in the festivities this year, but we did catch some pictures with the carp.
