We decided go to with a hotel for this trip instead of the typical AirBnB, and we were so glad we did. AirBnBs in these big cities tend to be super tiny and it rained a significant amount of the time we were in Hong Kong, so we were grateful for all the extra space the hotel provided.
This particular hotel had a lounge where they served light meals, including afternoon tea, throughout the day. This was by far the highlight of the trip for Max, our little hobbit. Second breakfasts and afternoon teas made his little foodie heart so happy. He especially loved the “sweet little things that looked like tiny hamburgers but had sugar in them,” a.k.a. macaroons, at tea. I think he’s ready to become an old British guy now.
The concierge also met us at the the lobby with little Hong Kong buses for the kids, provided little snacks for them to our room each night, and generally made them feel right at home.
