Ben was on the mainland and South Korea last week, so we had to find a way to occupy ourselves. Toguchi Beach fit the bill for a picnic lunch and a little digging.

Last week was Golden Week in Japan, which ended with the Children’s Day celebration, Kodomo no Hi. Everyone hangs carp streamers, or koinobori, in honor of children.
