The weather here has been gorgeous and we’ve been soaking up (sometimes literally, at the beach) all the beach days we can get. This was Thursday last week. Evening walk in the neighborhood. That dreamy, golden, hour-before-sunset light makes even military housing lovely, if you look at it just right.

Cold winter walks and a cold dawn. When it was winter a week ago.

And a glimpse of bedtime. It’s hard for Max to nail Hazel down for the bedtime story, so he just follows her around, reading. Also, the laundry basket is not, as it may appear, a random assortment of toys, but a boat full of necessities.
