When you need to brush your teeth but your baby just won’t let you put her down. I mean, we’ve all been there, right?

A picnic I stumbled across this morning. I wasn’t invited, apparently.

Late July, more from our beach days. Max is “wiring” that frame he built. With kelp.

Late July. See saw. Maybe a bit too fast. These days before school started were the best. We’d hit the playground, coffee shop, and library, then the beach for lunch, then run home for showers and naps. Is it summer vacation yet? This school stuff is for the birds.

Late July. Max and Hazel chased a little squirrel at Carmel Beach through the ice plants, down a hill, and dozens of bushes.

Late July. Carmel is the cutest little town. We had to stop and take a picture by this beautiful door on the way home from the beach.
