Little Moments of Light

Caught earlier this week. His chins multiply while he sleeps.

Picking out a book to curl up with on a rainy Saturday afternoon… Or, at least one with decent pictures on the front cover. ππ

Caught on the monitor a few weeks ago. Β

We had the BEST weekend with this girl! That is Max’s excited face, promise. We had fun celebrating Jon’s birthday, walking miles of museums and enjoying great weather and ice cream. And Max enjoyed ALL THE BOOKS! Miss you already, Meggers! Happy first day of school and thanks for back to back 4:30 am wake ups to come hang out with us!

Stacking break on yesterday’s walk.

He purposefully shoved a puzzle piece under the stove and now cannot get it back.

When you’ve mastered your letters… Stack them!
In the past week, he’s learned most of the remaining alphabet. Cleaning the kitchen, I hear “oh…bee…tee…essss…kaay…peee… kwoo (Q)…” π

Practicing wearing his backpack! I think he’s got it.

Some Max updates:
Max can say blue and pick it out of a group of colors. He also knows yellow, orange, green, purple, and red with some consistency.
He can identify the letters o and e and likes to repeat the letters back to us.
He does several animal sounds, like cat, dog, cow, sheep…
His favorite words are “up”, “meow”, “wow” (spoken after building a particularly tall tower), and he’s working on “please” (sounds like “pwee”).
He also has his own words for nearly everything else. He says “nee” for yes and “oh-wah” for “please get that for me”. βΊοΈ

He REALLY needs to read this book.
Lest you think I am anti-reading, know that we had just spent the last 30 minutes reading this and one other book over and over and over… And I just wanted to refill my tea.
