And finally getting around to posting the rest of the Hawaii photos…

We hiked to the top of Diamond Head and some of us enjoyed it more than others.  Hazel slept in the carrier the whole way and Max kept complaining about the rocks being a tripping hazard.  We all agreed that the views were amazing!

Ben took a two-week course in Hawaii, so the kids and I decided to try our first “Space A” (military air, space available) trip!  Your seat is not guaranteed but it’s free/super cheap.  You get the command to sign a letter, sign up with military air, wait for the flight schedule to be released three days in advance, show up an hour before roll call to check in, cross your fingers, pay $0-$35 per seat, cross your fingers, board (in this case) a 737 with 500+ Marines with rifles, cross your fingers, take your seats on the very last row, cross your fingers, breath a sigh of relief as your one-year-old FINALLY falls asleep three hours into a seven hour flight, watch the flight attendant hand your four-year-old hot pasta in red marinara sauce, clench your teeth as your four-year-old decides NOW he has to pee, clench them tighter as he spills the hot marinara-covered pasta all over himself causing sister to wake up and wail with brother, take your crazy train to the tiny airplane bathroom to clean up, return to cold pasta with a very cranky and very awake one-year-old, calm everyone down, repeat falling asleep/needing to pee scenario a few hours later, land at 2 am, and greet your smiling husband.  It’s easy.

Ben had a room in Waikiki, which was perfect since everything is walkable.  We spent our first day exploring the beach and the zoo, and catching up on lost sleep.

It’s been almost a month since my last phots, so sorry!  It’s been a busy, busy month.  Traveling, a move, life…

This was a cafe date with friends.  These littles are always down for some tasty cafes!  My friend was kind enough to hold the phone while Max FaceTimed with Daddy.
