Splish splash
Hazel’s first time in a swing last week. She had a good time, I think. Also, she can hold herself up now.
Some shots I took on our sunset adventure to be sold at a charity bazaar. I’m no professional, but it was fun to try!
I still can’t get over how beautiful this place is, especially now that the temps are in the 60′s-70′s. These were all taken one evening in a 3-mile radius from my house during a run.
About a week ago when Ben was on the mainland for the night, I needed to get some sunset pictures for a project, I wanted to get in a run, we needed to eat dinner, and Max wanted to play at a playground.
We set out for a run in the stroller on one of our favorite routes, and three hours later we were back home, mission accomplished and ready for baths.
Hazel geared up for our 5k by eating all the grass.
Cafe hopping this weekend.
No more monkeys jumping on the bed!
One of Max’s and Hazel’s favorite things to do is jumping on Max’s bed. I hold Hazel up while she stands and Max jumps so she bounces with him. Her cheeks wobble and she laughs and drools and he laughs wildly the whole time and it’s the cutest thing ever.
The playgrounds here are crazy fun. Roller slides, trampolines, zip lines, hills to climb… pure four-year-old joy.
The days have been just lovely here. Less “autumn”, more “bearable summer”, but I’m not complaining. We run all the errands we can on foot again, which usually means stopping to explore the tide pools on the way to get milk.
Max has also learned that exercise keeps you healthy, so my runs are a lot slower these days when he hops out of the stroller to run alongside me. He can do at least 2 miles at a time now (with stops to examine important-looking sticks and things).
Still loving gymnastics.
