FaceTime to say happy birthday to Nana!
I took both kids to the beach for an afternoon by myself last week. I feel like there should be badges in motherhood, like Girl Scouts. This definitely earns a badge. This week I’m volunteering at VBS every day with Hazel strapped to me in the carrier, occasionally nursing. This also deserves a badge.

When Aunt Megan comes to visit… 😳
Hazel is 3 months old today! She loves attention, being held, her brother, talking, and jumping. She is laid back, a great sleeper, and a charmer. We grow more in love with our sweet Hazel every day!
Not sure what Max is doing here…

It is so hot, but I look forward to these long afternoon walks along the Sea wall anyway. The big sky and vast ocean remind me that the world is so much bigger than my daily concerns. I wouldn’t trade my time with these two every day, but I admit I also look forward to putting in my headphones and getting a break from the never ending game of twenty questions (per minute…).

Love this special time with my little girl.
Summer days around here mean frequent trips to the library, picnics (inside when it’s just. too. hot.), smoothies, errands, and time on the playground (even when it’s just. too. hot.).
Let the wild rumpus start!
I could listen to him “read” all day. And the way he still says “yellow” (yay-yoh)… I mean. ☺️

“Hazel, you’re the cute babiest girl ever.”
She gets the idea.
