These boys. I can’t believe they’re mine.

Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones, but my heart can’t even take this sweetness.
I want to remember Max at this age forever. Surrounded by his penguins and other animals, the Starbucks holiday cup that he insists on sleeping with in case he needs coffee, and the cloth under his face “pe-cuz I’m afraid I will drool.” My camera is the closest thing I have to a pause button, but I would love to just freeze time and dwell in a moment or a season just a little bit longer sometimes.
Max is loving the lights on the Christmas tree. That ornament has his handprint on it from his very first Christmas. So tiny!
Found a new park. It has cool bouncy surfaces, a roller slide, and obstacle courses. A definite win.
Max’s new favorite toy: a piece of rope from the 100 yen store. He has taught himself how to tie knots and enjoys “blocking” spaces. We currently have trip wires all over the house, and have had to enforce a strict “No Blocking” policy in the kitchen for safety reasons.

Box fort.
Fun at the botanical gardens. Right after that last picture, the snail came out. Max yelled and dropped it and and asked the snail why he was yucky, ha!
Also, he’s totally into his sunglasses these days.
Family photos….
We’re skipping the turkey this year in favor of white bean and leek galette, but we aren’t skipping dessert. Max did a great job with the apple crisp! 🍎🍏🍎🍏
Sliding down this hill by our house on cardboard is a favorite pastime of the neighborhood kids. And some adults, too.
