Weekends are the best.
Fun with sidewalk chalk last week.
Max climbed a tree today. And saw a helicopter. So it was a pretty good day.

Current state of my sunroom. Messy, sunny, warm enough to eat lunch in (and destroy, apparently!). I couldn’t be happier.
A few Max-isms lately:
Sitting on the top step of the stairs: I have told him he can’t go down any further, so he tosses his block down a few steps and says “whoopsie! That’s a si-wee (silly) bwock! I go get it!”
When he wants to play with something out of reach or not allowed: “want to hold it one second!”
When he wakes up: “I have a good sweep (sleep)!”
If things are knocked over or not where he thinks they should be, he arranges them as he sees fit while narrating: “Pick back up. Goes wight here. That’s better.”
He likes to stuff his smallest penguin in a cup and say, “Poor wittle penguin. Are you stuck wittle penguin?”
Fun at the gym last week. Max loves going to the gym, but he takes his work very seriously. Sometimes he brings me my gym bag and says it’s time to go to the “gim”. My pint-sized fitness coach. He also tells me to do push ups.
Practicing math skills with daddy on the abacus, a walk around town, and stopping to smell the flower. That he planted.
Not a bad Saturday.
Max had his first haircut not in my lap today. Still not as short as Daddy’s, though.
A day in the life, Part II.
A typical day day in our life right now, part I. The photography group I belong to challenged us to record our day on leap day this year, and this is what I got. I was fortunate that it was a slow work day, and Max was cooperative!
